Usage: Web page/ web page

Thoughts on usage.

The NY Times uses the words Web site and Web page with the W capitalized.

I want to know the correct/accepted way of writing web page and email.
I prefer using web page and email.

A Proper noun is always capitalized. So is Web used as a proper noun or should one take it as web page with web as an adjective like any other bright, cool, nice etc.

"A web/Web page with black font on white background is better than one with white font on maroon background."

Please let me know your preference as writers.
