Tachyon Technologies' Quillpad also provides Web-based writing and text editing interfaces for South Indian regional languages Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

This beta works best with IE6 that's what a message box says on accessing Quillpad's Web site, however it worked fine with Firefox too, as seen above.
