Verse: A world of a difference

A verse on the spur of the moment.

Chin straining against the window grill
My gaze beyond the ground
Looking at the building construction going on
A mile's distance between the two
a building here and a building there
A world of a difference on both sides.

Looking out of a Bombay local
Huts along the railway tracks
A handshake's distance between movement and stagnancy
(or should I say, us and them)
A world of a difference between the two
