Image Editing Notes

Tips from PhotoshopSupport on fixing underexposed (dark) and overexposed (bright) images.

1. Fixing Underexposed (Dark) images:

- To fix underexposed photographs use Screen blend mode for the duplicate layer. Repeat this a couple of times, if required.
- Reduce the opacity (of the topmost layer) to adjust the look and feel of the image
- Choose Layer -> Flatten Image
- Save as .jpg

2. Fixing Overexposed (Bright) images:

- To fix overexposed photographs use Multiply blend mode for the duplicate layer. Repeat this step a couple of times, if required.
- Reduce the opacity (of the topmost layer) to say 50% or 60% to adjust the look and of the topmost layer
- Choose Layer -> Flatten Image
- Save as .jpg

What's the news from Pune?

Rains ahoy! Roads dug up, flyovers under construction, power cuts—but all that is forgotten with a ride in the rains, getting wet, feeling the wind on my face—with the road bumps :-). This year the monsoon is going to be severe. It's been raining since the three/four days and the monsoon has arrived in Pune.

Did you get wet in the rains? I did yesterday. :-)
