Two Liners

Taken from the public domain (first two lines)

Har lavz* ki ek kahani hoti hai
Kahan shuru kahan khatam hoti hai

Kabhi khushiyon ki mala rehti hai
Kabhi aansoon ki dhara behti hai

Aa bhi jao ki zindagi kam hai
Tum nahin ho to har khushi kam hai

Each word has a story to tell
Who knows where it starts or ends

Sometimes it stays as a garland of happiness
Sometimes it flows as a stream of tears

Do come in my life, it is vacant
Without you each happiness is listless

* lavz: word

Lovely Quote

If I'm out of time and I could pick one day and keep it new, of all the days that I have lived I would pick the day I met you.

Lyrics

If you see her say hello...
Say for me that I'm all right though things get kind of slow
She might think that I've forgotten her don't tell her it isn't so.

Sundown, yellow moon, I replay the past
I know every scene by heart, they all went by so fast
If she's passing back this way I'm not that hard to find
Tell her she can look me up if she's got the time.

Good Quote

Worrying is like sitting on a rocking chair. You keep on moving without reaching anywhere.

A Quote to Follow

A quote to live life by.

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it.
If you don't ask, the answer is always no.
If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place.

~ Nora Roberts

Lunch

Last afternoon had lunch at Charu's with Nilesh. It's a small restaurant located opposite ICICI Bank ATM in Model Colony.

Tried a new dish - Veg. Chilly Milly

It's Veg. Kadhai (spicy gravy of paneer, green peas, capsicum, onion, and tomatoes) garnished with pieces of papad and a topping of fried green chillies.

What is this?

What is this? Bangalore to be re-named Bengaluru. Even Indians won't be able to pronounce the name, let alone foreigners. Endeavour to provide better infrastructure rather than changing the name of the city. What difference is it going to make?

One more reason to come to Pune. Pune airport goes International.

A Thought for Today

The happiest of people don't have the best of everything; they make the most of everything that comes their way.

Congrats, Sachin

When Sachin plays...Cricket is Life...the rest is mere details...

Doesn't matter what job you do, how much you earn, whether lonely or with a hundred friends, with thousands in the bank account or peanuts that too go in paying a loan, or whether you like your job or hate each day at work, whether your life has a direction or just goes the distance, whether you're going fast to nowhere or reaching slow and steady on the road to God knows where, whether you do this or that or whatever....nothing matters...nothing

When Sachin Plays...Nothing Matters...Saachhhinnn...Saacchhhhinnnnn....Cricket is Life...The rest is mere details...

Congratulations on becoming the Highest Century Maker (35 100s) in the history of Test Match Cricket.

Nice Song

Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaaye .... is a fabulous song. Listen to it once, and feel like listening to it again and again and again, if you like soft, mellifluous*, and romantic Hindi film songs. One needs to be a romantic at heart to understand the emotions.

* Mellifluous - Having a smooth flow that sounds pleasing to the ear. It's a beautiful word, isn't it?

GOOG

Is GOOG overpriced on Nasdaq at $405? No.

Is it still a buy? Anytime, you bet.

Will it touch $500?

Personal

Har baat pe kehte ho ki tu kya hai
Tumhi kaho ye andaaz-e-guftagu kya hai

For each and every matter you try to belittle me
Pray tell me is this the way you speak?

The question I'd like to ask is, "Why don't you speak?"

Nice Shayari

Nice two liner taken from the public domain.

Shaam hote hi Chiragon ko bujha deta hoon
Yeh dil hi kaafi hain teri yaad main jalne ke liye

As evening comes, I extinguish the lamps
This heart's enough to burn in your memory
