Short Story

Fiction: An attempt at writing a short short story.

Potential gone waste, they said.
He was a simple guy in search of his dreams, who for once wanted to do something right with his life. She was a girl with all the riches of the world, yet in search of her identity.

Away from home in the garden city, their paths entwined and their life entangled. What did she see in him? That know-it-all, thinks too much of himself guy with an attitude. What did he like in her? That rich, snooty, and arrogant gal.

They traded for a fortnight of love and got a lifetime of unhappiness.
Love happens and lasts for a while. Why does forgetting take so long?

He still remembers her, and she won't have forgotten him.
