Ek naam kya likha tera saahil ki rait par
Phir umr bhar hawa se meri dushmani rahi

I wrote your name on the seashore
Then was at loggerheads with the wind for a lifetime

Duniya bhar ki khushiyan hamare saath chali
Qadam mila ke jo hamare saath aap chali

A world of happiness walked with me
Hand-in-hand when you walked with me

This is lovely.
Dil ki bechain umangon pe karam farmao
Itna ruk ruk ke chalogi to qayamat hogi

Bestow your blessings on the restless expectations of the heart
Your slow gait makes my world stand still
(The second line needs better translation).
