Cricket: India wins Test and Series versus West Indies

India won the fourth and final test match at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica; by 49 runs to win the 4-test series 1-0. In a low-scoring test, West Indies chasing 269 for victory were all out for 219 with Anil Kumble taking 6 for 78 to hasten their downfall.

Captain Rahul Dravid lead from the front by example with two half centuries (81 and 68) on a wicket where no other batsman looked comfortable. He shared a crucial 93-run 7th wicket partnership with Anil Kumble in the first innings that helped India reach 200.

Harbhajan took a five wicket haul in the first and Anil Kumble went through the West Indies middle and lower order with a 6-wicket haul in the second innings to give India a 49-run test win and a series win in West Indies after 35 years.
