Cricket: 2nd Test, 5th Day's Play. Anil Kumble takes 7 Wickets as India beat Pakistan by 195 runs

Anil Kumble took 7 for 63 as India beat Pakistan by 195 runs on the 5th and final day of the 2nd test match played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Pakistan lost last innings centurion Younis Khan for a duck, a smart stumping down the legside by Dinesh Karthik off the bowling of Anil Kumble and it was 95/2.

Inzamam played on to Anil Kumble after half an hour that yielded only 13 runs, Taufeeq Umar was caught in the slips by Sehwag off Balaji, Yousuf Youhana was caught at forward short-leg by Gautam Gambhir off Anil Kumble, Kamran Akmal played inside the line of a Harbhajan delivery and was bowled; Asim Kamal, after scoring a fighting half-century departed to a smart catch at backward short-leg by Mohammed Kaif off the bowling of Anil Kumble; Sami was trapped in front by Kumble, and Harbhajan bowled Danish Kaneria to end Pakistan's second innings at 226 and give India a 195 runs comprehensive victory.

Anil Kumble proved to be unplayable on the final day. The pitch did not have demons, it was the unwavering accuracy of Anil Kumble's bowling that set up India's victory. Anil Kumble's bowling figures. 38-16-63-7.
